Pavilion Energy to supply China with LNG

A ‘small-scale’ liquefied natural gas (LNG) deal has been signed between Pavilion Energy Trading & Supply (Pavilion Energy) and Zhejiang Hangjiaxin Clean Energy (Hangjiaxin).

The agreement will see Pavilion supplying up to 0.5m tonnes per year (mtpa) of LNG to the 1 mtpa Jiaxing LNG Terminal in Zhejiang, China, operated by Hangjiaxin, from 2023. 

Stating that Pavilion ‘looks forward’ to working closely with Hangjiaxin, Alan Heng, Interim Group CEO, Pavilion, added, “Supplying small-scale LNG reinforces our commitment to enhance Singapore’s position as a regional LNG hub and support growing demand for small-scale LNG in Asia.” 

The delivery will also provide Hangjiaxin with the ability to reduce its carbon dioxide emissions to achieve carbon neutral goals.
