PDC Machines is rapidly increasing production of its diaphragm gas compressors, having signed the lease on a new 148,000 square foot facility in Lower Salford, Pennsylvania to help better serve the global hydrogen economy.
The manufacturer on Thursday (Sep 23) said the new building will enable a scale up in production of both its diaphragm compressors and other products, ramping its capacity to thousands of units per year.
Arguably the heart of a hydrogen refuelling station, the compressor is key, and makes the infrastructure come to life. Station developers simply could not dispense a product without compressors and technologies. It’s the compression technologies that essentially enable refuelling at speeds of three-to-five minutes.
