Work is underway at one of Pennsylvania’s first developments that will produce hydrogen and ammonia, as well as other products, while employing carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology.
Black & Veatch on Wednesday (31st August) said it has commenced pre-front end engineering and design (pre-FEED) activities for the natural gas synthesis plant that will be located in north-central Pennsylvania.
Headquartered in Kansas, Black & Veatch hold decades of experience in ammonia and nitrogen-based fertiliser production, as well as liquified hydrogen, CCS and power generation.
For its latest venture, the engineering and construction will use its latest CCS technology, to remove carbon during production processes and sequester it in large measures permanently underground.
