Plant import approved for India’s National Oxygen

The board of directors of National Oxygen, India’s industrial gas manufacturer and distributor, has approved the import of a new plant from China at a meeting held in September this year.

The new plant for import is intended for the manufacture of liquid oxygen and nitrogen, as the old plant has not been able to produce to its full capacity, according to a report from www.myiris.com.

National Oxygen, not to be confused with Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation’s Singapore-based subsidiary National Oxygen Pte Ltd (NOX), is engaged in producing and supplying industrial gases including oxygen, nitrogen, argon and dissolved acetylene gases.

The company was incorporated as a private limited company in December 1974 and converted into a public limited company in September 1975.
