Two leading hydrogen (H2) technology specialists, Plug Power Inc. and HyGear, have come together to deliver HyGear’s H2 generation technology to Plug Power fuel cell customers around the world.
The partnership will see US-based business, Plug Power, offer the Netherlands-based HyGear’s Hy.GEN® reformer technology as an option under its GenFuel solution platform.
The Hy.GEN technology is based on small-scale reforming and provides an on-site low-cost option, including using biogas as a ‘green’ H2 solution. It offers a flexible alternative to conventional H2 supply by large-volume liquid systems or road distribution.
This partnership with HyGear is part of Plug Power’s long-term goal of making H2 a cost-effective and ubiquitous fuel
