Energy solutions provider, Plug Power Inc., has received a new purchase order from international logistics business FM Logistic to deploy fuel cell units into its warehouse machinery in France.
The US-based company’s GenDrive fuel cell units will be installed in FM Logistic’s Toyota Material Handling and Crown pallet jacks and reach trucks. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
The fuel cell solution has been designed as an alternative to using industrial lead-acid batteries and can slot into existing material handling truck fleets. The units recharge in just two minutes and are zero-emission – eliminating any cost or time associated with handling, swapping batteries and storage.
