Porvair Filtration Group has entered into a long-term agreement with India-based Mascot Dynamics Pvt Ltd in order to deliver char filtration equipment and services to Reliance Industries’ refinery in Jamnagar.
Although financial details of the deal were not disclosed, it is understood that Mascot will become Porvair’s subsidiary with the latter securing the majority share of the joint venture (JV).
Porvair has already developed an automated machine that applies a number of dedicated cleaning stages to char filter assemblies at the refinery, which is the largest in India, but under this new JV both corporations are discussing a range of improvements to be implemented to Reliance’s equipment and processes within its existing gasification system.
