PowerCell to contribute fuel cell system to worlds first solar-powered hydrogen station

The municipality of Mariestad in Sweden has revealed plans to build the world’s first solar-powered gas station for hydrogen (H2).

PowerCell Sweden AB will provide the fuel cell system that will generate the power to run the station.

In January 2017, Mariestad opened a H2 station and an agreement was signed this week to build an innovative system for local solar production of H2. It will be the fuel cell system from PowerCell that will generate electricity from H2 to make the station self-sufficient on energy.
