Praxair and a unit of AES plan to jointly research and demonstrate improved carbon dioxide capture technologies for new and existing electric-generation facilities in New York.
The power company’s AES Eastern Energy unit and the industrial gas giant intend to research, design and potentially commercialise the carbon dioxide emission-reduction technology.
The technology will help the state meet its goals for creating fuel diversity and low-cost, reliable energy services.
