Praxair, Inc. has been awarded a multi-million-dollar grant for its role in an emissions reduction programme in Europe.
Together with glass tableware manufacturer Libbey Inc., the €2.3m ($2.4m) grant from the European Commission will support the installation of Praxair’s OPTIMELT® thermochemical regenerator (TCR) system at Libbey’s glass melting facility in the Netherlands.
As announced in April 2016, the Tier One player will install its OPTIMELT TCR system, as well as an onsite oxygen (O2) vacuum pressure swing adsorption (VPSA) plant, at Libbey’s European site.
