gasworld can reveal that Praxair is making plans to enter the Russian market.
In an official statement sent to gasworld by Praxair, the company confirmed that it has begun a working relationship with Plastkard, a division of the Nikochem Group, in Volgograd, Russia.
Plastkard is a producer of PVC (poly vinyl chloride) and VCM (vinyl chloride monomer) for the plastics industry.
According to Praxair, its project with Plastkard would involve construction of an air separation unit to provide oxygen, nitrogen and argon.
The company said details of this cooperative programme are still being developed, and that additional information will be available at a later date.
