Praxair, Inc. has been selected as a component of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for the ninth consecutive year. In doing so, it has become the only US chemical company with such a long-running record.
Membership in the World Index ranks Praxair among the top ten chemical companies worldwide in terms of sustainability leadership. Praxair is also a member of the Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index, a sub-set of the World Index, which places it among the top 20% of companies in its sector in North America.
Steve Angel, Praxair Chairman and CEO outlined the importance of the nomination, “Sustainable development is integral to our long-term growth strategy and we remain committed to creating technology, products and services that help sustain and protect our planet.”
Angel added, “The Praxair global team is focused on making our planet more productive and we strive to consistently deliver innovative, environmentally responsible solutions to our customers.”
