Affecting both its US and Canadian customers, Praxair have announced that as of the 14th June 2005 prices of both Helium and Argon gases in bulk and cylinder form will be increased from 10-20% with discounts on helium tube trailer rental rates also coming in for various reductions.
The argon price increase is primarily due to higher production and distribution costs. Increasing manufacturing costs related to rising costs of crude helium gas and refined liquid purchases, mainly drives the helium price increase.
The discounts on helium tube trailer rental rates are being reduced, in part, because of rising manufacturing costs for tube trailers.
