Praxair Cryomag Services, a subsidiary of Praxair Inc, was recently presented with a Productivity Award at the 2008 GE Healthcare Global Supplier Day.
Praxair Cryomag Services is a leading supplier of helium to the superconducting magnet industry and has provided customers with fast, efficient, professional service for superconducting magnets in a variety of applications. Customers experience the total service supply capabilities of cryogen, expert magnet maintenance, and industry-leading technical service.
As noted by GE Healthcare in its citation, “Praxair is a global supplier for delivering liquid helium to our MRI machines. Over the last two years, and servicing almost 600 magnets, Praxair has provided us with half a million dollars in variable cost productivity savings and cost avoidance.
Jack Quinn, National Service Manager for Praxair Cryomag Services, stated, “We are immensely pleased and proud to have won this award. We have developed a number of processes for reducing emergency service calls, which have yielded significant savings for GE.”
