Praxair Inc., has reiterated its profit outlook for the second quarter and full year.
The company expects second-quarter earnings of 83 cents to 87 cents per share, compared with Wall Street’s consensus estimate of 87 cents, according to analysts polled by Thomson Financial.
Praxair also forecasts full-year earnings of $3.35 to $3.50 per share, compared with analysts’ $3.47 per share estimate.
In addition, the company announced that it will discontinue its monthly business trends reports beginning in the third quarter because it doesn’t think monthly sales comparisons to prior-year periods accurately indicate long-term financial performance
