Scott Specialty Gases today announced it will implement a percentage price increase, effective June 1, 2007, for all specialty pure gases and gaseous mixtures.
Helium and argon-based mixtures, as well as helium and argon pure gases will be raised by 10 percent. Methane-based mixtures and methane pure gases will be raised by 7.5 percent.
All other specialty pure gases and gas mixtures will be raised by 5 percent. In addition, Scott’s high-pressure cylinder rental will be increased to $0.32 per day.
Escalating costs of energy and quality raw materials are cited as the drivers behind the increase.
