French industrial gas producer Air Liquide has announced it will boost its production capacity for liquid oxygen and nitrogen in Southern California and open a new carbon dioxide plant in central California.
The production capacity in Southern California will be boosted by 50 percent and this development is in addition to other recent investments and expansions in Utah, Kentucky and Texas, while the company also intends to expand its production and distribution capabilities of liquid argon by adding 200 tpd of capacity in 2008.
