Qatargas 2 has been chosen as Project of the Year and Dolphin Energy Best Company in Gas at the Excellence in Energy Awards ceremony held in Dubai recently and featuring over 300 nominations.
Abu Dhabi’s Adnoc received the Overall Excellence Award for its outstanding achievements and business practices, while the regional energy award was presented to Weatherford for ‘regional contributions’ to the industry and Masdar was given an award under the Best Company in Environment category.
The event was held under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed al-Maktoum, President, Department of Civil Aviation, Government of Dubai and Chairman of the Emirates Group, with winners of the Excellence in Energy Awards selected from over 300 nominations by a panel of independent experts.
Noting the significance of the awards and recognition of efforts in the region, Eileen Michael, Director of Reflex Publishing (founders of the Excellence in Energy awards), commented, “With the world’s attention continually focused on the energy sector in this region, it is essential the industry has an annual platform to recognise and reward companies for their significant contributions and achievements.”
