Members of the public are being invited by partners bp and Aberdeen City Council to provide feedback for a new green hydrogen production, storage and distribution facility in Aberdeen, Scotland.
The facility – powered by renewable energy – is set to become Scotland’s first scalable green hydrogen production plant, marking a major milestone in the country’s journey to Net Zero.
Announced by joint venture bp Aberdeen Hydrogen Energy Limited, the public consultation will be the first of two planned exhibitions designed to ‘help shape plans’ for the facility.
According to the partners, the project would involve building a green hydrogen production and vehicle refuelling facility powered by a purpose-built solar farm, subject to planning permission.
