Air Products South Africa has unveiled its new oxygen (O2) based technologies, which provide effective solutions to increase treatment capacity of existing water treatment plants.
The Tier One gas supplier has introduced a number of technologies to address waste water treatment issues to the global industry, namely O2 and ozone developments.
It has unveiled the oxy-Dep® – a biological waste water treatment process which uses pure O2 instead of air, to help combat biological oxygen demand (BOD).
Oxy-Dep offers treatment plants an efficient O2 dissolution system, which incorporates a side-stream injector to deliver O2 in the form of very fine bubbles to an activated sludge process, whilst maintaining minimal power consumption.
