Qatargas, the world’s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) exporter, has signed a technical collaboration agreement with the Maersk Group to explore opportunities related to the use of LNG marine propulsion.

The two corporations have been involved in this collaboration for the past two years, in the understanding that LNG has the potential to further reduce emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) from shipping by up to 25% and to completely eliminate sulphur oxide (SOx) emissions.
