Liquefied natural gas (LNG) pioneer Qatargas has announced a new deal with RWE Supply & Trading (RWEST), further strengthening its LNG offering to Europe.
Under the terms of the new Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA), Qatargas will deliver up to 1.1 million tonnes of LNG each year to the leading European energy trading house, which is based in Germany.
The contract will run for seven and half years.
Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Qatar Petroleum President and CEI and Chairman of Qatargas Board of Directors, underlined, “Qatargas is committed to providing reliable, clean energy to consumers all over the world. This new milestone underscores our commitment to building new partnerships with leading global companies.”
