Quantitech, a testing and monitoring instrumentation provider, has just launched a new app, providing anyone with an interest in gas monitoring with useful information on the move.
The Gasmet app is available free of charge on both iOS and Android Smartphones and links the user to a library of over 500 compounds – providing IR spectra, chemical formulas, molecular weights and boiling points for each gas.
The programme contains a dew point calculator which predicts water and sulphuric acid dew points from water (H2O), oxygen (O2) and sulphur dioxide (SO2) concentrations, helping to prevent problems relating to sample condensation.
Other features include the Combustion Calculator, which provides estimated O2 levels for a variety of selectable fuels from variable inputs for moisture and carbon dioxide (CO2), whilst the Unit Conversion tool provides milligram per cubic meter (mg/m3) to parts per million (ppm) alterations and vice versa for a wide range of compounds.
