Revenues bubble for carbonation company

NuCO2 Inc, the largest supplier in the US of bulk CO2 systems and services for carbonating fountain beverages, has reported results for the fiscal three and six months ended 31st December 2007 and recorded revenue increases for the quarter and year-ago periods.

Total revenues for the quarter stood at $34.1m, a 6.6% increase over revenues of $32.0m in the year ago quarter, while total revenues for the first fiscal half amounted to $69.0m at an increase of 7.3% over the corresponding year-ago period.

Furthermore, second quarter operating income amounted to $4.1m, compared with $2.9m the year previous when results were impacted by increased expenses resulting from the transition to the company’s, then new, strategic growth plan effected in the same quarter of the prior year. First half operating income amounted to $10.0m, up from $8.7m last year.

Michael E. DeDomenico, Chairman and CEO, reflected, “We are pleased that the company continued to make solid progress in the second fiscal quarter. Our commitment of outstanding customer service and operational excellence is reflected in the results we have achieved, and to which management and associates remain dedicated.”
