The Southern Africa Compressed Gases Association (SACGA) will convene once more on Monday as it holds a meeting to discuss technical standards and regulations in the Southern Africa industrial gas market and precedes the gasworld African Conference 2008.
The SACGA holds a number of events each year including four board meetings, an annual general meeting (AGM), two technical presentations and numberous working group meetings.
Monday’s meeting will see the association discussing technical and safety standards at the Misty Hills Country Hotel complex in Johannesburg, ahead of the gasworld African conference the next day on 10th June at the same venue – while Albert Spencer, Technical Advisor to the Board of Directors of the SACGA, will be presenting at the gasworld conference and discussing both the association and the African market.
The SACGA has its objectives focused on the safety and technical disciplines for the production, distribution and use of medical and industrial compressed gases. The group is also an associate member of three of the major gas association’s in the world – namely the European Industrial Gas Association (EIGA), the British Compressed Gases Association (BCGA) and the US’ Compressed Gas Association (CGA).
