Wilfred Taetow of SANYO Component has been elected as the new President of PV CYCLE.
The announcement was formalised at an assembly held during the 26th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition. At the same time two new Directors were appointed, while the association’s By-Laws were also approved.
Taetow, the new President, commented, “Stepping into the role of President of PV CYCLE together with a renewed and dynamic Board is both exciting and challenging at the same time: exciting because of the proven track record of such a dynamic industry to develop a pan-European system that offers an adequate solution for end-of-life PV modules; challenging because our rapid expansion will require us to focus our resources and attention into making sure we are ready for the increasing quantities we expect to collect in the coming years.”
Taetow continued, “Strengthening PV CYCLE’s system to offer a unified waste management solution to all photovoltaic users in Europe is our top priority.”
