In a monthly update, SaskPower has revealed that the carbon capture and storage (CCS) facility at Boundary Damn Power Station captured 67,694 tonnes of carbon dioxide in May.
The average daily capture rate when the facility was online was 2,184 tonnes per day, with a peak one-day capture rate of 2,423 tonnes.
During the month of May, the CCS facility was online 99% of the time. The facility was offline for a total of seven hours in May due to an inadvertent compressor outage.
