Matheson Tri-Gas has proudly announced the recipient of its first annual Gary Gann Scholarship, naming Sweta K. Ramachandran as the beneficiary of the scheme first established in November 2006.
The scholarship was founded to honour the memory of Gary Gann, who served as Matheson Tri-Gas General Council for many years. The scheme will provide $4000 per year for a student pursuing a degree in science, engineering or law and is available to any child of a Matheson Tri-Gas employee.
Ramachandran will be attending the University of California Berkeley this autumn, as a Regents & Chancellors Scholar majoring in Bioengineering PreMed.
The presentation was made at Matheson Tri-Gas’ facility in Newark, California with over 50 employees in attendance and the award personally presented by Diana Gann, widow of Gary Gann.
