GasCon, based in Elsies River in Cape Town, is celebrating a successful 2 years of operation in the field of internationally certified pressure vessel manufacture, having been founded and started-up in October 2005.
Specialising in all types of pressure vessel including static vessels for storage, semi-trailers, rigid trailers and intermodal tanks containers, these are most often produced for the transport of liquefied gases such as liquid petroleum gas and cryogenic gases, like carbon dioxide, nitrogen, oxygen, argon and liquid natural gas (LNG).
The company also manufactures decompression chambers and smaller pressure vessels for the diving and filter markets, designed and manufactured for both the local and export markets.
Celebrating the successful yet relatively short 2 year milestone, GasCon’s shareholders RJ Southey and Investec and the company’s management team have said they are pleased with the progress made by the company over this period of time and look forward to continued growth in this market. According to GasCon, it currently has a strong order book including orders for gas ISO tanks, LPG road tankers and other large vessels such as an 80-tonne dead weight, single wall storage vessel and 4 50-tonne dead weight, double walled, vacuum insulated static tanks.
