Sensor safety breakthrough for oxygen applications

Sensortechnics’ recently launched OxyProof series of Industrial Pressure Transmitters for oxygen applications provides a breakthrough in the safe performance of the industry’s products.

The sensors feature special materials, manufacturing processes and cleaning procedures to enable safe pressure measurements of pure oxygen gas, while Sensortechnics can easily customize these products to offer individual pressure calibrations as well as all industry-standard pressure connections and electrical terminations.

Certified by the German Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) for safe use in gaseous oxygen service, the OxyProof series allows for absolute or gage pressure measurements of oxygen up to 600 bar (8000 psi) at sensor operating temperatures up to 140 °F (60 °C). The fully media isolated transmitters are based either on all welded stainless steel sensor cells or proven ceramic technology and are temperature compensated to offer a variety of voltage or current output signals.

The OxyProof series can be used in many medical and industrial oxygen applications such as pure gas generation, gas control systems or oxygen filling and supply systems and all transmitters are EMC compliant and CE-marked.
