Gas analysis experts Servomex has successfully delivered its oxygen analyser technology to a multi-million-dollar purified terephthalic (PTA) facility in the Indonesian city of Merak.
Announced today, April 12th, the project is part of INEOS Aromatics Indonesia (INEOUS AI)’s $70m upgrade investment to reduce emissions and increase capacity at its plant.
The delivery includes two Servomex gas analyser systems, which come with a pressure reduction pre-sample conditioner enclosure and a SERVOTOUGH OxyExact 2200 – a high specification oxygen analyser.
By installing the large oxidation reactor, and reconfiguring and revamping other components, the company could reduce the site’s carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per tonne by 15%, with site capacity also increasing 15% from 500,000 tonnes to 575,000 tonnes per annum.
