Servomex engineer recognised for outstanding contribution to instrument industry

A life-long dedication to professional excellence by one of Servomex’s compliance engineers has been recognised by one of the UK’s leading technical organisations.

The Institute of Measurement and Control has presented Compliance Engineer Ian Unwin with the Alex Hough-Grassby Memorial Award for 2011.

Te accolade was awarded for influencing the development of analysers that have both contributed to enhanced safety and improved understanding of the environment.

At Servomex – described by the Institute as an “outstandingly successful British analyser company” – Unwin is responsible for ensuring that Servomex analysers satisfy international standards and comply with European Union Directives. These cover a wide range of considerations including electrical safety compliance, hazardous substances and technical aspects such as electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
