Air Products has revealed its board has authorised the repurchase of up to $1bn of its stock.
The latest financial movement is in addition to an existing $1.5bn share repurchase programme announced in March 2006.
Air Products had also recently announced its board had declared a quarterly dividend of 38 cents per share.
