Shell has opened its fifth LNG station for trucks in Germany as the oil major unveils plans for a network of 40 stations by the end of 2022.
Located in Kirchheim unter Teck on the important long-distance traffic connection from Munich via Stuttgart and Karlsruhe to France, the LNG station can refuel up to 150 LNG trucks a day and is the first in Baden-Württemberg.
“Globally, Shell’s ambition by 2050 is to have a net zero emissions business,” said Fabian Ziegler, CEO of Shell in Germany.
“As Shell in Germany, we can and want to make an active contribution and thus also help this country to meet its climate goals.”
