Sherwood announces price increases

Sherwood, a division of Harsco GasServ, has announced price increases averaging 7.5 per cent effective 18 September 2006 for the companys line of compressed gas products.

James M. Demitrieus, president of Sherwood Operations, said: “Sustained price increases from our raw materials suppliers, prolonged acceleration of factory energy costs and continued escalation of fuel surcharges make it necessary to increase our price schedules for our compressed gas product line by an average of 7.5 per cent.

“Recent work stoppage activity at the worlds largest copper mine, the Escondida mine in Chile, will likely push brass prices even higher in the global market.”

All in-house orders shipped on-or-after September 18th will be subject to the increases. Orders placed for shipment prior to September 18th will be accepted on a first-come/first-served basis contingent upon available manufacturing capacity at time of order.
