Italian compressor supplier SIAD Macchine Impianti (SIAD MI) has completed the construction of a vapour recovery unit compressor to be installed on the motor vessel Firenze FPSO – owned by energy company Eni.
Announced today (20th Dec), the construction was completed in less than seven months from the time the order was awarded by engineering and construction services provider Saipem.
Considering the ship is used for offshore oil production processing, the design of the compressor required a ‘very high degree’ of customisation, according to SIAD MI.
