National Oxygen Pte Ltd, one of the largest industrial gas manufacturers in Singapore, has recently completed construction of the third air separation plant in its Jurong facility and more than doubled its industrial gas production capacity, hosting a plant completion ceremony and 25th anniversary celebration to mark the event.
The new air separation plant will provide better energy efficiency compared to existing plants, as well as improved reliability and safety. In addition, National Oxygen has achieved something a facility overhaul and expansion, also installing 5 large-sized storage tanks and completing the construction of its new administration building.
Shigeto Umatani, managing director of National Oxygen Pte Ltd, was present at the opening ceremony and commented, “We are excited about the opening of this plant. As a company we are always exploring ways in which we can contribute greater efficiency to our customers. We believe we can achieve this by working with our customers to introduce state-of-the-art industrial gas manufacturing technologies that will reduce costs and improve productivity.”
Ko Kheng Hwa, managing director of the Economic Development Board, said, “I congratulate National Oxygen (NOX) on the completion of their third air separation plant ahead of schedule and with a perfect safety record. This is a significant milestone for NOX, as it celebrates its 25th anniversary in Singapore. The company’s latest expansion here will further support the growth of Singapore’s thriving manufacturing sector.”
