Singapore Oxygen Air Liquide, SOXAL, has extended its collaboration with Chartered for supplying nitrogen.
SOXAL, a joint-venture between Air Liquide, France and BOC, UK, has signed a bulk gas contract with Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing, for the supply of nitrogen to Chartered’s 300-millimeter facility, Fab 7.
Under the agreement, SOXAL will expand the customized tank for Fab 7 to include a dedicated nitrogen plant to produce ultra-pure nitrogen, compressed dry air and compressed dry air stepper.
Tan Guan Joo, managing director of SOXAL, said of the expansion: Chartered has been a pioneer in Singapore’s semiconductor technology and wafer fabrication services industry, and we are committed to support its continuing growth.
