According to data and analytics company GlobalData, analysis of the European Union (EU) regasification market shows that Spain has the highest liquefied natural gas (LNG) regasification capacity in the EU with 2,232 billion cubic feet (bcf).
France and the Netherlands follow with 1,209 bcf an 565 bcf respectively.
Presently, Spain accounts for 39% of the total LNG regasification capacity in the EU. The country has six active LNG regasification terminals. The country is expected to add a capacity of 92 bcf from two planned and announced LNG regasification terminals during 2018 to 2021.
