Tiger Optics has introduced a “technologically advanced spectroscopic analyser for gases and chemicals production”.
The SparkTM meets industry demand for an attractively priced product to measure moisture over a wide and high range, while capitalizing on the strengths of Tiger Optics’ prized technology, known as Continuous Wave Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy (CW CRDS). The Spark matches the price point yet outperforms “long in the tooth” products, such as those based upon chilled mirror and oscillating crystal technologies.
Astonishingly easy to start up, with virtually no cost-of-ownership, the Spark is the lowest-priced analyser that Tiger Optics has introduced in its 13-year history. To address the industrial gas industry’s need to measure moisture over a broad spectrum, Tiger Optics designed the Spark for a continuous range of 15 parts-per-billion to 2000 parts-per-million.
In industrial gas, moisture is one of the key factors that affects the quality of the final product delivered by pipeline, on-site generation, merchant/bulk delivery, or packaged gas. The Spark can be used to monitor the high-usage or “house” gases that are plumbed through work areas. The device is similarly speedy and adept at measuring moisture in gas cylinders that are reclaimed and prepared for fresh use. The Spark is equally useful in moisture monitoring in air separation processes, and in quality checks at “fill zones” where refrigerated trucks load merchant products in liquid form. In the packaged gas market, the Spark covers the moisture specifications of a myriad of products. It can measure moisture in samples such as hydrogen, helium, nitrogen, oxygen and argon, as well as gas mixtures.
