Sri Lanka Air Force donates oxygen therapy units to hospitals amidst Covid-19 crisis

As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to impact the lives of millions, the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) has handed over two Heated Humidified Oxygen Therapy (HHOT) units to two Sri Lankan hospitals currently treating patients suffering from the virus.

The Teaching Hospital at Karapitiya and the National Institute of Infectious Disease at IDG Angoda received the units on 24th August 2021 during a handover attended by various officials from the SLAF and the respective hospitals.

More units are expected to be deployed at other locations across the country to treat Covid-19 patients.
