Students invited to innovation study

The Solar Decathalon in Europe, which Air Liquide is a partner of, is inviting a group of students from around the world to explore how the sun can be used as the only power source for a house.

Held from the 28th of June to 14th of July, the event is held in Versailles, France.

The Solar Decathlon is an international academic competition. Universities and schools from around the world are challenged to design and build a full-scale, fully-functioning house, using the sun as its only power source. The European edition will bring together 300 candidates from 16 countries, pitting 20 sustainable home projects against each other.

Air Liquide is a partner of this international event. The company will have a stand for this event, allowing visitors to discover its “open innovation” approach, at the heart of the Paris-Saclay innovation cluster. Hydrogen will also be represented, as a sustainable mobility solution, with the presentation of a Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle, and the public will be able to try out the first hydrogen-powered electric bikes.
