A ten-year Time Charter Party has been signed between global towage provider and part of Maersk, Svitzer and FGEN LNG Corporation (FGEN LNG), a wholly owned subsidiary of First Gen Corporation (First Gen).
The agreement is for Svitzer to provide FGEN LNG’s Interim Offshore LNG Terminal with towage and other vessel support services. The terminal will feature a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) that will be located in Batangas City, Philippines, at the First Gen Clean Energy Complex.
In order to assist the FSRU and LNG (liquefied natural gas) carriers, Svitzer will provide four new 75-tonne bollard pull tugboats. This will aid with multiple services including berthing, un-berthing, navigation assistance, as well as firefighting, pollution control, port and vessel security services, pilot and boarding party transfer, and fender management.
