Technip Energies and Samsung Engineering join forces for Texas LNG project

Plans for a four million tonnes per annum (mtpa) LNG export facility, located in Brownsville, Texas, have today (25th May) progressed, with Technip Energies and Samsung Engineering having secured a Pre-FID (final investment decision) engineering contract to support operations.

Under contract terms, Technip Energies has been appointed as lead project contractor charged with project design and delivery and will support the installation of its SnapLNG™ solution at the site.

Developed in collaboration with industrial gas giant Air Products, SnapLNG™ combines a compact modular design concept for mid-scale LNG trains with standardised components and technology.

Once installed, the solution offers lower emissions and is particularly suited for low-to-zero carbon footprint LNG and phased developments, such as the above, located on the Port of Brownsville’s deep water ship channel.
