Baker Hughes and Technip Energies have joined forces to develop a one to two million tonnes per annum (mtpa) modularised liquified natural gas (LNG) proposition for onshore sites.
Under plans laid out in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the energy technology companies hope to reduce time-to-market for LNG to meet growing energy demands.
The joint development will complement the existing Baker Hughes one mtpa range LNG mid-scale modular solution and Technip Energies’ over two mtpa SnapLNG™ solution.
Described by Lorenzo Simonelli, Chairman and CEO of Baker Hughes, as a “milestone”, the deal builds on the partners’ longstanding collaboration on multiple LNG projects.
