France-based Technip Energies is to accelerate the energy transition in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region through a commitment to decarbonisation.
A partnership with the National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) will see the companies collaborating on projects centred around carbon capture, in addition to blue and green hydrogen related projects.
An agreement was signed by the partners at Gastech 2021, building upon a 30-year long working relationship between the two.
Recognising the ‘unprecedented momentum’ in the industry for clean energy, the joint venture will also explore other renewable energy-related sectors such as waste-to-energy, biorefining, biochemistry, and ammonia.
