The Linde Group continues hydrogen network rollout in Germany with first station open in Ulm

The network of H2 refuelling stations across Germany has taken another stride forward after The Linde Group, Daimler AG and Total officially inaugurated the first station in the German city of Ulm.

In a combined effort with the Centre for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg (ZSW), the companies jointly hosted the official opening of the H2 fuel pump today in the Southern city.

This latest inauguration marks another step towards the nationwide rollout of a H2 supply network, as to date, 21 stations have been completed in Germany. Funded as research and development projects by the German federal government through the National Innovation Programme for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology (NIP), these existing stations serve almost six million people in the metropolitan areas of Berlin, Hamburg, the Rhine, Stuttgart and Munich.
