Praxair Mexico and Praxair Costa Rica, subsidiaries of Praxair, Inc., were each recognized as a socially responsible business by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI) and the Alliance for Corporate Social Responsibility (AliaRSE).
Praxair received the awards at the eighth annual Summit of Socially Responsible Companies held in Mexico City from May 4th to 7th.
This is the fifth consecutive year Praxair Mexico has been honored and the second consecutive year that Praxair Costa Rica has been honored. Selections are based on in-depth analysis of a company’s environmental and social practices, including ethics, employee engagement, community engagement and environmental preservation.
“I am proud to accept these awards on behalf of our 2,600 employees,” said Benjamin W. Glazer, president of Praxair Mexico and Central America.
