Global multi-energy company TotalEnergies will work alongside family-owned German agricultural and food service provider SARIA to develop sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production on the Grandpuits (Seine-et-Marne) zero-crude platform.
The agreement aims to secure feedstock supply (used cooking oils and animal fats) eligible to produce SAF, enabling SAF production capacity to reach 210,000 tonnes per year.
SARIA will supply animal fat esters to Grandpuits under a deal that will see TotalEnergies taking 50% of SARIA’s production activity.
