Japan and Egypt will join forces in the race to net zero with an agreement to discuss the production of blue ammonia via carbon dioxide extraction and storage projects.
The agreement was formalised in a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the country’s respective officials to see discussions begin between Egyptian Natural Gas Holding (EGAS), Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding (Echem) and Toyota Tsusho.
Due for completion in six months, a study will be undertaken to the potential for renewable energy production projects.
